Trump Continues Threats: Iran Could Be Completely Destroyed If No Deal is Reached
U.S. President Donald Trump has once again warned Iran, stating that the Middle East conflict should be resolved in days instead of weeks, otherwise, Iran will face severe destruction.
In an interview with American news network ABC, Trump said that if a deal is not reached, Iran could be completely destroyed, leaving very little of it remaining. He clarified that sending U.S. ground troops is not necessary, but this option is not off the table either. He added that a final agreement could be reached tomorrow, or it might not happen at all.
Previously, on Sunday, President Trump threatened Iran with serious consequences if it did not open the Strait of Hormuz in a statement released on social media. He said that if Iran does not open this vital waterway for trade, civilian installations, power plants, and bridges would be targeted, bringing devastation upon Iran.
Trump claimed that if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened, Iran’s life will be made hell, and Tuesday will prove to be a “power plant and bridge day” for Iran.
These statements came before the expiration of a 48-hour deadline given to Iran. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since the end of February after the start of the war.
In another interview, the U.S. President also threatened that if Iran does not make a deal soon, he is considering destroying everything and seizing their oil reserves.
Trump also claimed that discussions are ongoing with some Iranian officials and that there is a strong possibility that a deal will be reached on Monday, for which a limited general amnesty has also been granted to Iran’s current negotiators.
