Pakistan Stock Exchange Sees Sharp Volatility, Partial Recovery After Slump

Following yesterday’s historic rally, the Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed intense volatility during trading today, with the market coming under selling pressure immediately after an initial positive trend.

The market saw an improvement at the start of trading, but soon selling pressure increased due to profit-taking by investors, resulting in a sharp decline in the Hundred Index. At one point, the index recorded a major decline of more than 3,500 points and the market lost three psychological thresholds simultaneously.

The Hundred Index continued to trade at 162,305 points after a decline of 3,405 points. However, the market later saw a partial recovery and the decline was reduced to about 911 points, after which the index is trading at 164,899 points.
