Fuel Price Reduction Announcement
Prime Minister Mr. Shahzad Sharif, during a press briefing earlier today, announced a significant reduction in petroleum product prices as part of the government’s continued efforts to provide relief to the public.

The price of diesel, which currently stands at 520 PKR per liter, will be reduced by 135 PKR. Effective from midnight tonight, diesel will be available at 385 PKR per liter. This reduction is expected to provide substantial relief to the agricultural sector by lowering farming costs, while also contributing to a decrease in public transport fares and overall inflationary pressure on the common man.
Similarly, the price of petrol, on which an 80 PKR per liter reduction was announced last week, will now be further reduced by 12 PKR per liter. As a result, the petrol price will decrease from 378 PKR to 366 PKR per liter, effective from midnight tonight.
